NTT Ltd. has announced its plans to strengthen its global presence through a significant expansion of its data center operations in the Paris market. This strategic move is spearheaded by the company’s Global Data Centers division, marking its inaugural venture into the development and operation of a data center campus in this vital European hub.
Spanning 14.4 hectares (approximately 35.5 acres), the new data center campus is strategically situated 50km south of Paris, nestled between Le Coudray-Montceaux and Corbeil-Essonnes. The selection of this location underscores NTT Ltd.’s meticulous planning, as it offers close proximity to essential digital infrastructure and readily available power for immediate deployment.
Comprising three data centers, the project is designed to accommodate a total capacity of 84 MW of critical IT load, effectively addressing the surging demand for data processing and storage capabilities.
This initiative aligns with NTT Ltd.’s overarching strategy for global expansion, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to adapting to the ever-evolving landscape of technology.
The Paris market entry is the latest in a series of strategic maneuvers by NTT, following recent announcements regarding the establishment of new data center campuses in Virginia (United States) and Noida and Chennai (India). These endeavors underscore NTT’s proactive stance in meeting the escalating worldwide demand for top-tier data center services.
In line with its sustainability goals, the expansion in Paris reflects NTT’s investment of over $10 billion in data center growth for the fiscal years 2023-27.
