NTT kickstarts third DC campus in Bangalore

NTT Global Data Center has announced the foundation stone laying ceremony of its third DC campus in Bengaluru. which will have a total capacity of 100 MW. The ceremony was led by Sharad Sanghi, Chairman, NTT Global Data Centers and Cloud Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, India, and Shekhar Sharma, CEO, NTT Global Data Center & Cloud Infrastructure, India, and NTT Communications, India.

This campus will have three buildings with an IT load capacity of 67.2 MW, designed to cater to the diverse needs of clients.

Bangalore and Chennai are integral to NTT’s data center business in India.”This state-of-the-art facility will be a testament to our commitment to tech excellence and our dedication to meeting the rapidly evolving digital requirements of our clients. We are confident that this facility will play a key role in propelling the country’s digital transformation journey. The new campus in Bengaluru will help us support our clients growing requirements for data center services and also disaster recovery services for those outside of Bengaluru.” says Shekhar Sharma CEO, NTT Global Data Centers & Cloud Infrastructure, India, and NTT Communications, India.

Meanwhile, Chennai remains crucial for NTT due to its proximity to APAC and its significant industrial presence. These cities, along with Mumbai and Delhi, remain key hubs for NTT’s data center operations in India.

NTT now operates 16 data center facilities across India, covering more than 3.1 million sq. ft. and 205 MW of IT power. This extensive data center network enables NTT to cater to the growing demand for data storage and processing capabilities, fueled by the rapid adoption of digital technologies and online services across various sectors in India.
