NTT Global Data Centers (NTT GDC) has signed a land purchase agreement with AMATA Corporation Public Company Limited to develop its new Bangkok 5 (BKK5) data center, its fourth site in Thailand’s Chonburi industrial area, joining BKK2, BKK3, along with the newly secured land for BKK4. Together, these locations would form the NTT GDC Chonburi campus, purpose-built to support Thailand’s rapid digital acceleration and the next generation of AI workloads, according to the company’s Linkedin post today.
This also followed a recent power purchase agreement for its Bangkok BKK4 site, the post added.
Details of the land purchase are scant however.
The agreement was finalized on December 12, 2025, with the signatories being Suthipat Lueprasert, Managing Director, NTT Global Data Centers (Thailand) Ltd. and Yasuo Tsutsui, Acting Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Executive Officer of Industrial Estate Thailand, AMATA Corporation PCL. AMATA City Chonburi has become a popular hub for organizations requiring scale, long-term planning certainty, and robust infrastructure.
With multiple sites secured and development progressing, NTT GDC is fully prepared to support future capacity growth.
