NTT Global Data Centers Breaks Ground on Bangkok 3 Data Center

NTT Global Data Centers has recently announced the commencement of construction for the Bangkok 3 Data Center, reflecting a significant move towards expanding its operations in the region. This upcoming facility, designed to meet tier 3 standards, is set to offer a substantial IT capacity of 12MW.

With commercial operations slated to begin in the latter part of 2025, the data center aims to efficiently address the evolving needs of Hyperscalers and Enterprises, particularly in the realms of Big Tech and AI capabilities.

The growing momentum within Thailand’s data center industry mirrors the widespread adoption of digitalization across various sectors. Supported by government initiatives and increased foreign investments, Thailand’s data center landscape is expected to witness notable growth, positioning it as a prominent player within the regional market.

Projections indicate promising prospects for Thailand’s data center and cloud services markets over the next few years, driven by factors such as technological advancements and governmental efforts to enhance connectivity. Forecasts suggest a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.8% for the data center market and 21.0% for the cloud service market during the forecast period.

Reports from the Thailand Board of Investment highlight the substantial growth witnessed in the country’s data center industry in recent years, marked by a significant increase in the number of data centers and cloud computing platforms. Moreover, market analysts anticipate considerable investments in the sector, signaling growing confidence and interest from investors.

As for NTT Global Data Centers, they also initiated the construction of the Keihanna Data Center in the Kansai region of Japan, further underlining its commitment to enhancing data infrastructure on a global scale.
