NTT Data‘s data center capacity has been fully reserved across all its data center campuses currently under construction in locations like Kolkata, Noida, Chennai, and other parts of Maharashtra. , revealed by Ravi Kumar, Senior Vice President of Global Delivery at NTT Data.
In the previous year, the Japanese conglomerate had unveiled its intentions to invest $2 billion over the upcoming four years in hyperscale data center campuses and undersea cables.
NTT intends to allocate $500 million over the course of four years for these endeavors. Earlier in the current year, NTT initiated construction on a new data center campus in Kolkata valued at $241.5 million. Recent reports suggest that NTT aims to double its data center capacity by March 2024.
Having merged its data center business with its IT operations, NTT has commenced training its existing workforce in utilizing generative AI, specifically in prompt engineering.
