NTT DATA, a global provider of business and technology services, and ENGIE, a French multinational utility company, have signed a strategic partnership to secure renewable energy supplies for NTT DATA’s expanding global data center operations, with agreements already in place across the UK, the Netherlands, and Germany.
According to a NTT DATA press release, the partnership will focus on renewable energy procurement, power supply, and integrated energy solutions as NTT DATA expands its AI, cloud, and digital infrastructure footprint. The companies said the agreement is designed to provide long-term access to low-carbon energy while supporting NTT DATA’s net-zero goals.

In the UK, NTT DATA has signed a Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA) that will supply power to its data centers through September 2030 from an RE100-compatible 24 MW wind farm in South Wales.

The deal comes as data center operators face mounting pressure to secure reliable and sustainable power supplies to support the rapid growth of AI-driven workloads. Through the partnership, ENGIE will provide renewable energy and low-carbon solutions to help meet NTT DATA’s energy requirements across key markets. The agreement will help address the growing challenge of securing renewable power capacity as demand for AI infrastructure continues to rise.
