We are back in Dubai, and this year w.media is bringing you our biggest, most power-packed event yet. We are hosting the fourth edition of Dubai Cloud & Datacenter Convention (Dubai CDC) where we are bringing together the crème de la crème of the Middle East’s digital infrastructure industry. This day-long event will be held at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel, Dubai on September 11, 2025.
Alongside this, we are hosting our very first Interconnect World Dubai – a premier convention showcasing the region’s connectivity ecosystem players including representatives and leaders from leading telcos, ISPs, and IXs, alongside TMT investors, government agencies as well as decision makers from enterprise customers of telecommunications and network services and equipment.
In doing this we are bringing together over 1,500 technology professionals including C-suite executives, business leaders, key buyers, architects, engineers and consultants. We have a stellar line-up of industry veterans and experts who will be sharing their wisdom and insights while participating in panel discussions and making technology presentations.
“I’m excited to join the panel at the upcoming Dubai CDC, hosted by w.media. The region is at a pivotal moment in its digital evolution, and this event offers a unique platform to exchange ideas on how AI is reshaping industries across the Middle East,” says Kamel Al-Tawil, Managing Director, MENA, Equinix. “Equinix’s commitment to enabling digital infrastructure makes it the perfect setting to explore how we can drive innovation, resilience, and sustainable growth together.
“I’m participating in Dubai CDC to exchange insights with industry leaders on the future of our sector. The market is scaling fast, customers are demanding AI-ready infrastructure, and the GCC must focus on enabling and facilitating edge datacenters to meet this demand,” says Annemarie van Zadelhoff, Chief Revenue Officer, Qareeb Data Centres.
“The Middle East region is currently a hotbed of activity for the data centre sector with significant investment and ongoing projects throughout the region,” says Mark Acton, Head of Technical Due Diligence, Future-tech SCi Ltd. “For this reason I was thrilled to be invited to take part in the W Media Dubai Cloud and Datacenter Convention. I saw the event as an opportunity to engage with and get to know the investors, developers, operators and suppliers driving the rapid digital infrastructure expansion in the region and to be able to offer some experience and insight from my 25 years in the data centre sector.”
“Participating in this event presents an exceptional opportunity to connect with industry leaders and professionals who are pioneering advancements in the fast-evolving data center industry. The Dubai CDC serves as an ideal platform for exchanging insights and experiences, playing a pivotal role in delivering projects on time and ensuring customer satisfaction,” says Steffen Zimmermann, Campus Delivery Director, Pure Data Centres Group. “I am particularly eager to discuss the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the digital infrastructure landscape. Specifically, I am excited to explore how we can leverage technology, including the deployment of GB200 and GB300, to achieve sustainable growth and innovation across the Middle East. These advancements are instrumental in supporting the region’s AI goals, further solidifying its transformation into a technological hub. The significant investments in digital infrastructure have been fundamental to this progress.”
Apart from the plenary sessions, there will also be a series of technology presentations and a modest technology expo in an exhibition area. This is also where we will host CenterStage, a series of fireside chats and more intimate conversations with technology experts in a semi-formal environment.
Our event is also sponsored by some of the biggest names in digital technology and infrastructure in the region who will be displaying their latest innovations at our expo hall.
“At the Dubai Cloud and Datacenter Convention, we’re proud to showcase Raychem’s TraceTek leak detection systems trusted for decades by the world’s most mission-critical datacenter operators,” says Mohit Agarwal, Regional Sales Manager – Middle East, India & Africa, Raychem TraceTek. “As digital infrastructure scales across the Middle East, safeguarding facilities against water and fuel leaks is no longer a precaution, it’s a prerequisite. Our TraceTek solutions combine precision sensing with proven reliability to protect uptime, ensure operational continuity, and reinforce the resilience of tomorrow’s hyperscale environments.
“As a Global Data Centre Cooling Solutions Manufacturer, FlaktGroup are always looking to leverage strategic opportunities to engage with our target clients across multiple geographies,” says Mohamed Ashok, Global Business Development Director, Data Centre Solutions, FläktGroup. “We found the WMedia Cloud and Data Centre Convention event in Dubai to be an ideal platform where we can have direct access to the Data Centre Industry leaders in the region, and potentially expand our client base.”
But the icing on the cake will be the Middle East Awards where w.media honours top technology business leaders, and some of the most innovative projects from the region’s digital infrastructure industry. W.Media’s Cloud & Datacenter Awards encourage industry transformation and innovation, by recognising expertise, experience, and excellence. The Middle East Awards not only recognise and reward talent from the Middle East’s vibrant cloud and data center industry; this year onwards, we have also included categories recognising talent from the connectivity ecosystem. This year, W.Media’s Middle East Awards will be given across three pillars: projects, planet and people.
