Korea Quantum Computing (KQC) is set to enhance its quantum computing partnership with IBM, an industrial research organization. Operating as an IBM Quantum Innovation Center since 2022, KQC will extend its provision of access to IBM’s global quantum systems via the cloud.
Moreover, a strategic plan is in place for the deployment of an IBM Quantum System Two at KQC’s site in Busan, South Korea, slated for completion by 2028.
In a recent development, IBM has disclosed that KQC has engaged its services to offer a comprehensive suite of AI software and infrastructure, alongside quantum computing services.
This collaboration will empower KQC’s user ecosystem with access to IBM’s full-stack AI solution, featuring watsonx—an AI and data platform designed for training, tuning, and deploying advanced AI models and software tailored for enterprises.
The partnership extends beyond quantum and AI, encompassing an investment in infrastructure to bolster generative AI development and deployment. Additionally, beyond the IBM partnership, KQC is actively collaborating with various Korean organizations to contribute to the nation’s quantum computing ecosystem.
