Singapore-based asset manager Keppel Ltd. has through its Connectivity division, signed a new strategic framework agreement with Dell Technologies to jointly invest in and develop artificial intelligence (AI) platforms and data centers in Asia, in particular Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam, says Keppel in a statement yesterday. The joint venture also brings in AsiaPac Technology (AsiaPac), an Information, Communication Technology (ICT), Cloud and Enterprise solutions provider, and a part of Keppel’s Connectivity Division on board. AsiaPac has previously worked with Dell in the resale of Dell infrastructure, delivery of professional services for Dell solutions and support for AI applications tailored for enterprise customers across Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam.
The new collaboration leverages on Keppel’s strengths in energy and sustainability-related infrastructure, real estate and connectivity, and Dell’s technological expertise, extensive enterprise customer base and advanced infrastructure. Together, the companies will develop facilities across strategic hubs in Asia. The facilities include green data centers, and AI platforms in sectors such as healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, retail and telecommunications. AsiaPac will provide cloud integration, infrastructure management services, enterprise solutions and digital transformation consulting.

Keppel also has a global strategic framework agreement with other technology giants such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) to collaborate on data centres, subsea cables, and renewable energy.
