Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat), Ooredoo Group, Nokia, and NVIDIA, recently launched Zankore by Indosat, to build one of Asia Pacific’s largest AI infrastructure platforms, targeting 1 gigawatt (GW) of NVIDIA DSX AI Factory capacity. The AI factory will enable the next phase of agentic and enterprise AI adoption at scale, according to Indosat’s press release last week.
Zankore is expected to deliver about 200 megawatts (MW) of AI capacity in the first half of 2027, powered by NVIDIA GB300 NVL72. It will eventually use NVIDIA DSX MaxLPS which can recover stranded power, thus enabling up to 40 per cent more compute within the same power budget.
Under the partnership terms, Ooredoo Group is to provide long-term capital, and regional scale as lead investor and platform sponsor. Indosat will bring market leadership, and capabilities in digital infrastructure. NVIDIA will power the platform with accelerated computing, AI software, next-generation GPU access, and its global AI ecosystem. Meanwhile, Nokia delivers AI-native networking.
Zankore will also set up the Board of Directors comprising representatives from its principal shareholders, who will provide strategic oversight, leadership, and governance as Zankore scales its integrated AI infrastructure platform across Southeast Asia.
Citi acted as the financial advisor to Indosat while FTI Capital Advisors acted for Ooredoo Group.
