HUMAIN, a Saudi Arabian Artificial Intelligence (AI) company owned by the kingdom’s sovereign wealth fund – the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has announced the launch of HUMAIN Chat, an Arabic-first AI app.
In a post on LinkedIn, the company said, “HUMAIN Chat is built in Saudi Arabia, powered by ALLAM, and designed for Arabic speakers everywhere. With voice, bilingual, and real-time web features in one seamless app, a new era of conversational AI starts here.”
Readers would recall that HUMAIN was launched to operate and invest across the AI value chain as a unified operating company in May 2025. It was unveiled by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, who also serves as Prime Minister and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the PIF.
HUMAIN Chat is also unique as it caters to the socio-cultural needs of people in the region, by complying with Islamic values. Moreover, ALLAM 34B, which is the LLM on which HUMAIN Chat was trained and developed, is one of the largest Arabic datasets assembled, and was developed by over 120 AI specialists, including 35 Ph.D. holders as per local media reports. It can understand Arabic spoken in multiple dialects.
