Jonathan Leung

Head of R&D | DCConnect

Jonathan is the Head of R&D at DCConnect Global, which is a pioneer in innovating on-demand global cloud connectivity. With a passion for NetOps and DevOps he leads a team of talented developers that has developed DCConnect’s orchestration platform, multi-vendor control plane automation and BSS/OSS user portal, enabling other Telcos to be free from vendor lock-in and allow their networks to migrate to an OCP-based infrastructure.

 

 

Bui Banh

Business Development Vice President | Edgecore Networks

Bui Banh is the Business Development Vice President for Edgecore Networks, the leader in open networking and a top contributor to Open Source Groups including the Open Compute Project (OCP), Open Networking Foundation (ONF), Telco Infrastructure Project (TIP) and DENT (Linux Foundation).  Bui is a veteran who has worked for more than 30 years in the telecommunications, media and technology industries. Bui has held many senior positions in various organisations, including Telstra, Alcatel-Lucent, and Nokia, and Edgecore Networks in Asia Pacific and globally. Bui is a true global citizen, a Chinese, born in Vietnam, became a refugee in Malaysia, grow up in Australia, working in Asia.

Steve Helvie

VP of Channel | Open Compute Project

Steve is currently the VP of Channel for the Open Compute Project (OCP).  In this role he helps to educate organisations on the benefits of open hardware designs and the value of “community-driven” engineering for the data centre. He works closely with Solution Providers and Manufacturers to help organisations adopt Open
Compute across all regions and segments of the market.

Steve spent the last 14 years living and working in Asia holding various Leadership and Channel Development roles for companies like Microsoft and Rackspace. He recently moved to London last year to focus on building the EMEA business.

Currently the VP of Channel for the Open Compute Project (OCP) – an open source project started by Facebook in 2011 focused on high efficiency data centre infrastructure. In this role I help to educate organisations on the benefits of open hardware designs, the value of “community-driven” engineering and how to apply the circular economy in the re-purposing of hyperscale data centre infrastructure for enterprises.
