I have 10 well-known professional information security certificates in management and technical aspects such as CISSP, CDPSE, CISA, CISM, CSSLP, CEH, ECSA, SSCP and ISO27001. I have a regional security role to take care of the 5 countries of APAC in Maybank Kimeng.

Dr. Jochen Legewie

Datuk Eric Ku

In year 2000, he started Innodium Sdn Bhd with the vision to build a first of its kind Secured Desktop Management Solutions in Asia Pacific. He prepared, applied and eventually succeeded in obtaining a Malaysian Government Grant from MOSTI (MGS Grant) worth RM3million and from there he lead and grow Innodium into becoming one of the prominent Cyber Security Solution Provider and in year 2007, he sold its entire share to Extol Corporation Bhd (A KLSE listed company) and in 2010 he move on to join Cuscapi as a Vice President with responsibility to manage operations and Profit and Loss of the subsidiary (Cuscapi Network Solution Sdn Bhd) that is again focus on Cyber Security Services. In year 2012, he was head hunted to join e-Cop Surveillance Sdn Bhd (an international Cyber Security Service provider 100% owned by Temasek Group of Singapore) as a General Manager with a team size of 43 staffs in Malaysia. He managed to grow the company with yearly revenue of less than RM5million to now 3 folds both in profitability and revenue size within 2 years.

In the beginning of year 2015, he started a company call SysArmy Sdn Bhd to focus on providing Managed Cyber Security Services to organizations in the region including some stock exchange, Major financial institutions, Telcos and e-Commerce companies. He started SysArmy Jakarta Office in Indonesia by beginning of 2016 and starting to gather revenue by end of 2016. Mohammad Fairus Khalid

Mohammad Fairus Khalid is a Principal Engineer in the Advanced Computing Lab, MIMOS BERHAD. Amongst his role is to provide technical direction, design and implementation of system software in Grid, Cloud and Distributed Computing to the organization. He is also advising the deployment of MIMOS Cloud technologies in various entities for both private and public consumption in the country. His other responsibility is leading a group of researchers in the same area. Ahmad Zaki Abu Bakar

Ahmad Zaki is currently the Senior Staff Engineer of the Wireless Innovation laboratory in MIMOS. His primary role is to realize inter-communication between various hardware devices in terms of embedded software programming. Boon Choong Foo

CF Boon is currently the senior director of the Wireless Innovation laboratory in MIMOS. Under his management and leadership, the laboratory has successfully developed technologies and products in wireless communication and the Internet of Things (IoT). Primary research focus is on IoT software platforms, architecture, device services and communication network. Prior to joining MIMOS, Boon has been with Motorola Malaysia for 28 years, developing advanced two-way communication systems for the global market. Fares Hasan

Machine Learning and Data Science Practioner | iTrain

After the realization set in that, Faris do not want to make it as an electronic engineer, he took the decision to go and try something new out of pure curiosity and thirst for new adventure. It didn’t come quite handy but he have changed his major three times. Faris have a strong passion for AI, machine learning and data science. Has been working with Fintech start-up (Pod for microsaving) to build a data strategy and providing AI powered solutions.

Fares have worked on various projects with medical imaging in diagnosing tuberculosis using chest x-ray images has given him a purpose and clarity of the quality of life we could achieve from developing artificial intelligence technologies. His next mission is to further research in this field for there Faris could contribute by an ounce for the betterment of humanity.

He is also focused on contributing to various initiatives workshops and meetups to spread the knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning in support of the democratization of Ai technology. He is a contributor to DevCon initiative by MAGIC (Malaysian Global Innovation Center) in the machine learning chapter by conducting the bi-monthly workshop for a group of participants, students, and working professionals. He worked with CIMB 3D program to raise the awareness of artificial intelligence as part of the workforce development program.

Chiew Kok Hin

CEO, AIMS | Chairman, Malaysian Internet Exchange (MyIX)

Chiew is now tasked additionally to be responsible for driving the business growth of the Over-The-Top market segment in TIME Group.

He has been instrumental in spearheading AIMS’ strategic development and AIMS’ penetration into the enterprise market, and its expansion to Cyberjaya and Singapore. Chiew led AIMS to becoming Malaysia’s first carrier neutral data centre in April 2010, certified with the Information Security Management Systems IEC/ ISO 27001: 2005 from British Standards Institutions (BSI). This milestone for AIMS reflected a high standard of handling information in a secured manner; as the quality of a data centre weighs heavily on the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information and application that they hosts. In April 2012, he further led AIMS to be certified with ISO 9001: 2008 Quality Management System .

He is also the Chairman of Malaysian Internet Exchange (MyIX) and had played an integral role in developing it.

Chiew graduated with an MBA from Nottingham Trent University, UK.

Siti Norliza Mohd Sahar

Leon Jackson

Chief Technology Officer | Strateq Group

Leon Jackson is the Chief Technology Officer for the Strateq Group, a 34 year-old Malaysian origin technology services company with a growing international presence. It built the first commercial data centre in Malaysia. Strateq serves large enterprise and government customers, many of which are Fortune 500 or multinational companies across 6 different countries with approximately 600 employees. Principle activities of the group are cloud and datacenter services, systems integration and software solutions. Strateq has focused solutions and services in the business continuity and disaster recovery space, serving mostly banks and governments. Strateq also builds software solutions for the healthcare industry and petrol retail stations for many of the major oil and gas companies.

In 2014, Strateq ventured to the US to sell its fourth-generation cloud native EHR platform, offering hospitals a suite of tools to help achieve their meaningful use compliance in addition to effectively manage their patient flows and records. This venture familiarised this data centre provider the revolutionary world of agile and cloud native development, and the practise of DevOps on AWS. It repatriated these learnings and culture to its enterprise and cloud practise and hired Leon to lead the transformation of its private cloud and data centre businesses into a next generation AWS consulting practise. Leon also worked with software teams to embrace newer DevOps tools and practises; which are used to rapidly acquire new technological capabilities from the AWS  platform such as machine learning, next generation analytics, IOT and software defined infrastructure and automation. These new technologies have since significantly improved the software Strateq builds for itself and its customers.

Today Strateq leverages on the technology and services of AWS together with private cloud to offer hybrid cloud solutions for customers. Strateq helps its customer manage and govern workloads and solutions between clouds and their legacy infrastructure. Strateq believes in assisting large enterprise customers to use the tools and methodologies of the agile startups, to innovate and reinvent themselves to mitigate the risk of disruption.

Leon came to Strateq from a CIO job in Healthcare IT, with 16 years of experience in software engineering and 10 years of direct experience in healthcare. He is also an active evangelist for the adoption of IT in healthcare, speaking at events around the Malaysia and the region. Apart from this he volunteers with groups such as Hacking Health Kuala Lumpur and Digital Health Asia to help mentor and cultivate new Health IT Entrepreneurs and Startups.

S.H. Tan has more than 20 years of experience in data center industry. He is the founder of Ekova System Sdn Bhd, a start-up company focusing on developing home-grown DCIM solutions. In the last 6 years, Ekova’s DCIM have been installed throughout Malaysia and Indonesia. They are currently expanding into more ASEAN countries. Wan Murdani Mohamad

Director of Enabling Ecosystem Division | Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC)

Wan Murdani Mohamad started a career with Time dotCom in 1995 as a Telecommunication Engineer, primarily involved in the network planning, design, business development and project management for metropolitan area network, as well as national and international telecommunication network.

He then joined Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation in 2001, first attached to Regulations Department. He is currently part of the Senior Leadership Team of MDEC, as a Director of Enabling Ecosystem Division since 2013, primarily overseeing formulation, recommendation and implementation of divisional business strategies and initiatives to support MDEC’s strategic thrusts in championing digital economy. His responsibility includes driving, advocating and facilitating the progression of digital enablers and catalytic investments in the identified focus areas that includes data centre, cloud, cybersecurity and digital government eco-systems and developing competitive broadband eco-system for MSC Malaysia.

Wan Murdani was nominated and elected by the country members of Asia Pacific Telecommunity (APT), a joint initiative by United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), to represent the Government of Malaysia, under the then Ministry of Energy, Communications and Multimedia, as a Chairman of Study Group for two terms from 2002 to 2007, where he successfully led the multi-countries dialogues and deliberations on ICT users adoption.

He graduated with Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Missouri-Rolla, USA in 1994 and also holds Master of Business Administration (Management). He is a registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia.

Wong Siew Hui

With 15 years in telecommunications, custom software and banking industries as developer and project manager, Wong Siew Hui has been spearheading or directly involved in multiple transformation projects in Maybank these last 5 years. Her current portfolio of Regional IT Project Management in Maybank Kim Eng extends her transformation scope and experience to 10 countries which has Maybank Kim Eng presence. She also spent 16 years in IBM, where she held leadership positions in the software group and local and global account management positions in the Financial Services Sector.

Hsin Yin holds a Computer Engineering Degree from Nanyang Technological University and a MBA from University of Louisville. She is involved in Women In Action, promoting diversity and coaching and developing female leaders of the future.
