Goh Eng Teong

Eng Teong has more than 28 years of working experience in which 80% was in the Datacenter and Infocomm industries. He is a technology savvy person who possesses strong operations and technical background. During his leadership in Equinix, Savvis and Appcara, he was directly involved in the recruitment and training of new employees. He is experienced in streamlining processes and developing training programs to teach new and experienced employee so that they can adopt the new way of doing things.

He has helped to design and develop the VPDC Symphony Cloud Infrastructure for Savvis and was actively involved in product development and engineering during his tenure in Appcara. He has helped to develop product features like VPDC cloud infrastructure, P2V, Data Protection, Cloud In A Box among some of his achievements.

Riza Taufan

Head of Data Centre and Network | Bukalapak

Riza leads and oversees the Data Center and Network team in planning, installations, maintenance, and operations of the hardware side of Bukalapak’s server and networks. He ensures that the data center, network technology and cloud solutions are up to date and at par with user insights and best practices.

Prior to joining Bukalapak, Riza spent 17 years in the mobile telecommunication industry: occupying a variety of positions starting from product management, pre-sales and network design for mobile networks. He is practiced in creating strategic decisions that has increased the overall competitive position of the company he has worked for in ICT industry.

He is also hands-on, competent and credible at highly-skilled technologies, particularly at EPC and data networks that includes handling annual budget for nationwide network deployment (CAPEX) and budget network operations (OPEX).

Neil Cresswell

Chief Executive Officer | CloudInovasi

Neil Cresswell is a technologist who has spent the last 15 years working with VMware Technologies, and more lately transitioned to emergent technologies such as Docker.

Neil is the founder of a company called Portainer.io, which is an open-source “human friendly” Management UI for Docker; the founder of CloudInovasi.id, which is a Indonesia-centric Docker Container as a Service Provider (and which provided the initial inspiration for Portainer), and is the co-founder of a NZ company called Emerging Technology Partners (formally t/a ViFX).

Neil obtained initial exposure to Docker technologies through his previous role as CEO of IndonesianCloud, a Public Cloud provider based in Jakarta. At that time, he foresaw the transformative effect that Docker would bring and the impact it would have on traditional IaaS and Infrastructure providers. Through 6 months of “migraines” Neil retrained himself in Docker, obtaining vast exposure through enduring the early pain of Docker versions 1.6. Neil spent considerable time understanding how to productionise and operationalise Docker, which is what initiated Portainer.io, as a way for “every day IT folk” to deploy and manage Docker.

Back in NZ, Neil is providing advisory services through Emerging Technology Partners, sharing insight and vision in regards to the adoption of Docker and surround technologies.

Wong Ka Vin

Managing Director | DC1st

Ka Vin brings with him over 30 years of Executive Management and leadership roles in the ICT industry. He is the Founder and Managing Director of DC1st Pte Ltd, a Singapore company established in 2017.

Prior to establishing DC1st, Ka Vin served as the MD of 1-Net where he led a major rebranding process, continued to grow its revenue by expanding their customer base and built SEA’s 1st Uptime Tier III DCCF DC in Singapore.

Previously, Ka Vin was the MD for CSF Asia where he was responsible for extending CSF Group DC business into Indonesia through the formation of a JV between PT Cyber CSF with KGN Group. He was responsible for constructing Jakarta’s largest and newest Data Center which was designed for the Telecom and Banking Industry. This is now the NTT Nexcenter DC in Jakarta.

Ka Vin spent 11 years in Singapore Technologies Telemedia where he held key management positions.  He was involved in the early days of ST Telemedia’s growth in the industry, working on M&A and tenders for Telco licences both in Singapore and the region. He headed the team that developed the successful proposal for Starhub Mobile. Ka Vin went on to be one of the 2 prime founders of i-STT Data Centre which subsequently became Equinix, the world’s largest data center operator today. At Equinix, Ka Vin was the VP Business Development for Asia and he provided the leadership which ensured all 4 Asia sites delivered a positive EBITDA creating a US$80 million annual recurring revenue contribution from Equinix Asia’s operations by FY 2008.
