The Government of the southern Indian state of Telangana has announced a partnership with Yotta Data Centers, a provider of end-to-end digital transformation services, to establish a cutting-edge high-performance GPU-based Artificial Intelligence (AI) Supercomputer within a purpose-built high density liquid cooled Data Center campus in Hyderabad’s AI City.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Jayesh Ranjan (Special Chief Secretary for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications – ITE&C), Government of Telangana and Sunil Gupta (Co-founder, MD and CEO – Yotta Data Services Pvt Ltd.) in the presence of Revanth Reddy (Chief Minister of Telangana) and Duddilla Sridhar Babu (Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Industry & Commerce and Legislative Affairs, Government of Telangana) at the Telangana Global AI Summit.
The first phase of the Supercomputer consisting of 4,000 high performance GPUs and the first Data Center within the campus, Yotta H1 will be operational within the next 24 months. Once fully built, the AI Supercomputer will be powered by 25,000 GPUs in a 50 MW AI Cloud Data Centre campus. The data center will offer startups, educational institutes, research labs, enterprises, and government flexible “pay-as-you-use” access to high-performance computing and various AI platform services and ready to use pre-trained models through an online self-service platform.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said, “The establishment of this state-of-the-art AI Supercomputer and Data Center within our AI City will take Telangana to new heights, driving advancements in technology and creating unprecedented opportunities for growth. This initiative reflects our vision of transforming Hyderabad into a premier AI destination, creating opportunities that extend beyond our borders and contribute to India’s emergence as a global AI powerhouse.”

Hyderabad, the capital city of Telangana, is already a major data center hub. According to Mordor Intelligence, “The Hyderabad Data Center Market size in terms of installed base is expected to grow from 54.53 megawatt in 2024 to 430.99 megawatt by 2030, at a CAGR of 20.12% during the forecast period (2024-2030).
Meanwhile, Yotta Data Services offers cloud, GPUs, data center hosting, connectivity, and cybersecurity services, cyber-workspaces, managed applications, and a range of managed IT services. At present Yotta operates its cloud regions at its hyperscale data center parks in Panvel (Navi Mumbai) and Greater Noida (Delhi NCR). It recently announced its new cloud data center, Yotta G1, located inside the International Financial Services Center (IFSC) zone of Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
