Google Cloud and postal and eCommerce logistics provider Singapore Post Limited (SingPost) have joined forces to spur SingPost’s next phase of sustainable growth and expedite its digital transformation journey.
As stated in a statement, the two companies anticipate that this multi-year partnership would provide SingPost staff members with easy-to-use solutions that will enable them to increase productivity, automate tedious processes, and promote smooth communication with clients and outside partners.
The announcement states that SingPost is in the process of harmonizing and consolidating its technology stack in order to create a strong and secure foundation that will enable accelerated AI-driven innovation. SingPost has also moved all information technology (IT) workloads hosted in its on-premises data centers to Google Cloud.
In addition to resulting in significant IT operations cost savings of 30%, this strategic move enables SingPost to leverage Google Cloud’s AI-optimized infrastructure, which is designed to manage complex AI workloads while maintaining cost-effectiveness, scalability, and sustainability.
SingPost will expand the use of its solution in partnership with Google Cloud, aiming to enhance supply chain orchestration throughout its logistics network and expedite delivery times.
According to Mark Micallef, Managing Director, Southeast Asia, Google Cloud, SingPost is enabling all employees, irrespective of their role or function, to recognize and tap into novel prospects for work optimization through its investment in AI development and collaborator platforms that incorporate privacy, control, security, and compliance features.
This, he claimed, is a prime illustration of how a big business may respond quickly to reap a variety of advantages from the use of Gen AI.
