Australian-based global real estate company Goodman Group has joined the global digital infrastructure association Infrastructure Masons (iMasons) as a Global Premier Partner, strengthening the developer’s engagement with industry initiatives focused on scaling data centre infrastructure. The ASX-listed logistics and data centre developer said the partnership will bring its experience delivering large-scale infrastructure projects to the iMasons community, as demand for digital infrastructure continues to accelerate globally.

Founded in 2016, Infrastructure Masons is a non-profit industry group that brings together digital infrastructure professionals to collaborate on efficiency, sustainability, and best practices across the sector. The organisation now includes more than 6,000 members across 130 countries and represents projects collectively valued at more than USD 1.5 trillion.

Goodman said its participation would centre on sharing experience in delivering data centres in dense metropolitan environments, where access to land, power, connectivity, and community support are increasingly critical to deployment timelines. “While data centres provide the critical infrastructure for data storage and compute functions that power modern economies and support today’s society, they also contribute to the economic and social rejuvenation of communities,” said Giles Proctor, executive vice president for data centres at Goodman Group.

“Joining iMasons provides Goodman with the opportunity to connect people and enable conversations on innovation, power and the value of data centres to encourage global best practice. Power, sites, capital and community acceptance are critical to being able to build into demand and provide delivery certainty for customers.”

Development pipeline

Goodman entered the data centre sector in 2005 and has since built a substantial global development pipeline. The company currently reports a 6GW global power bank, including 0.7GW of stabilised assets already delivered and 0.4GW of projects under development, primarily in supply-constrained metropolitan markets.

The company has increasingly positioned data centres as a core growth segment alongside its traditional logistics and industrial property portfolio. In recent years Goodman has expanded its digital infrastructure footprint across key markets in Asia-Pacific, Europe, and North America.
As part of the partnership, two of Goodman’s senior data centre executives, Paul McGarry, head of Asia, and Giles Proctor, will join the iMasons Advisory Council. Goodman’s teams will also participate in initiatives across the organisation’s global network of chapters and industry working groups.

Cyre Mercedes Quiñones, CEO of Infrastructure Masons, said the organisation welcomed Goodman’s experience delivering complex infrastructure projects across multiple global markets.
“We are proud to welcome Goodman as a Global Premier Partner,” Quiñones said. “The team brings a unique breadth and depth of expertise to our community, from site selection and acquisition to securing power and network infrastructure.”

She added that the company’s long history of developing large-scale logistics and industrial facilities had translated into capabilities relevant to digital infrastructure, including architecture, engineering, construction management, and community engagement.

Through the partnership, Goodman is expected to contribute to several industry initiatives led by iMasons, including the organisation’s Climate Accord, which focuses on carbon reduction in digital infrastructure, and its newer power initiatives aimed at addressing the growing challenge of securing grid capacity for data centre developments.

The collaboration reflects a broader industry shift toward greater coordination between developers, operators, technology providers, and energy stakeholders as demand for hyperscale and AI-driven computing infrastructure continues to rise. For Goodman, the move also strengthens its role in shaping industry discussions around building digital infrastructure at scale – particularly in cities where power availability, land constraints, and community acceptance increasingly influence project viability.

Infrastructure Masons said partnerships with global developers and operators are central to its mission of fostering collaboration across the digital infrastructure ecosystem and accelerating the delivery of efficient, sustainable data centre capacity worldwide.
