Goodman Group, a specialist in industrial property and digital infrastructure, is making strategic moves in Asia. The company has secured agreements for up to 1,000MW power supply in Japan, initiated the construction of a 50MW data center in Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong, and established a new regional office in Singapore for its Asian data infrastructure initiatives.
In Japan, Goodman is building a 1,000MW power capacity data center campus, with a 50MW center to be leased to a client. In Tsukuba City, Japan, where the new campus is situated, Goodman acquired 45 hectares of land in 2022 and collaborated with local authorities for the project.
Moreover, in response to Hong Kong’s data center demand, Goodman is converting an industrial property in Tsuen Wan into a 50MW facility. The Texaco data center and Tsuen Wan West campus, set for completion in 2026, will bring Goodman’s managed data center capacity in Hong Kong to 392MW.
Paul McGarry, Goodman’s Head of Asia, highlights Tsuen Wan’s significance since 2014 and sees the data center sector as a key growth area. With ample capital, land, secured power, and proven engineering, Goodman is poised to continue delivering large-scale, high-value data centers in the dynamic Asian market.
