Gaw Capital Partners announced today that it has acquired a new property within Fuchu Intelligent Park, further solidifying their presence in the key data center hub located 30 kilometers from central Tokyo.

This strategic investment will see the development of Phase III of the company’s carrier-neutral Tier III data center project in Fuchu City. The newly acquired property will double the size of the existing data center complex, bringing the total land area to 22,202 sqm.

The expansion comes in response to growing demand for data center capacity in the region. Upon completion, the data center’s IT capacity is expected to increase from 40 IT MW to 78 IT MW, making it the largest data center facility in Fuchu City.

“This acquisition allows us to significantly expand our data center footprint in Fuchu City,” said Isabella Lo, Managing Director, Principal – Investments and Head of Japan at Gaw Capital Partners. “The strategic location and enhanced capabilities will enable us to deliver exceptional service to our clients across the region.”

The new property sits near two other buildings acquired by Gaw Capital in 2021 and 2022, which are currently being redeveloped into Phases I and II of the data center project.
