Malaysian infrastructure and property development giant Gamuda Berhad announced today that it has been awarded construction work for a hyperscale data center worth RM1.71 billion (US$ 420 million), the company announced in a Bursa filing today.
To commence in Q3 2026, the work entails site infrastructure works, core and shell construction, and mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) fit-out construction of a single storey hyperscale data center at a US tech giant’s site in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan.
The work is expected to be completed by Q2 2028. The contract is awarded to Gamuda Engineering Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gamuda Berhad, by an undisclosed US tech company.
This is the second data center construction job in Port Dickson that Gamuda has clinched. In April, it scored a US$ 430 million hyperscale buildout job with an almost similar job description as reported by w.media .
