Fortune Hospitality & Infra, an Indian firm entering the data center market, has laid out plans to develop a hyperscale data center campus near Hyderabad on 200 acres of land, supporting IT loads of up to 1,600 MW.
As reported by ET Datacenters, the estimated outlay for the start of the project is ₹ 600 billion (US$ 6.2 billion), although this could rise to ₹ 1 trillion (US$ 10.4 billion) at full buildout. The Data Center Park will be located adjacent to Bharat Future City, supporting the growth of digital corridors in the region.
“India’s demand for AI-ready digital infrastructure is expanding rapidly. The Fortune Data Center Park is being developed with leading global data-centre operators and hyperscalers, with sustainability integrated into the design,” CH. Rama Krishna, Fortune Hospitality & Infra Managing Director, told Business Standard.
The park will support between 1,200 and 1,600 MW of IT capacity through four independently operable hyperscale modules each rated at 400 MW of capacity suitable for AI, cloud, colocation, and high-performance computing. The project is being planned around a sanctioned power capacity of 2,000 MVA from TGTRANSCO.
According to Krishna, the park will use treated graywater as well as low-water cooling technologies and closed-loop water management. This is expected to reduce freshwater demand significantly. He also added that long-term solar and wind procurement will form an important part of the park’s power strategy.
The Fortune Data Center Park is just a proposal at this stage and is subject to land allotment and regulatory approvals.
Telangana is a hotbed of data center activity. In February 2026, w.media reported that the government of Telangana had signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the joint venture established by UPC Renewables Group and Volt Data Centers to establish a 100 MW AI data center at Bharat Future City. In June 2026, Chief Minister of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy instructed state officials to prepare a detailed report on the water, electricity and connectivity requirements for a proposed 1,500-acre data center city around 55 km from Hyderabad.
