Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee recently leased a 49,554 square metres land to Singapore-headquartered data center platform Evolution DC VN HCMC JSC to develop a 52MW hyperscale campus at Saigon High-Tech Park (SHTP). The lease tenure is 50 years expiring on March 30, 2076, according to reports.
The campus will be developed by a consortium of three Singaporean investors, namely Hathor, Frontier, and Evolution, at an investment of US$508.7 million. The investment was approved in late April by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee. It is expected to be ready for service by Q4 2027, according to Evolution’s website.
Prior to that in December 2025, Evolution had established a joint venture with HTC International Telecommunication JSC to develop large-scale, AI and hyperscale data centres in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
Darren Webb, CEO of Evolution, said, “Vietnam is one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing digital markets. Through this market entry, Evolution will be one of the first international data centre operators active in Vietnam and the only one with projects in both major economic hubs, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. This north-to-south strategy ensures we can support customer demand as it scales periodically.”
