Empyrion Digital Expands into Thailand with a New Data Center

Empyrion Digital today announced its strategic expansion into Thailand with the development of a new 12MW edge co-location data center in Bangkok. This move marks the company’s first major investment in Southeast Asia following its establishment in Singapore in 2021.

The new data center, strategically located in Bang Na, a burgeoning tech hub in Bangkok, will span over 9,960 square meters. It will be equipped with state-of-the-art cooling technologies to ensure optimal energy efficiency and will offer diverse connectivity to major fiber providers in the city.

By establishing a presence in Thailand, Empyrion Digital aims to capitalize on the country’s growing demand for digital infrastructure, particularly in the areas of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things. The company believes that its new data center will be well-positioned to serve the needs of hyperscalers, enterprises, and cloud service providers operating in Thailand and the broader Southeast Asian region.

Mark Fong, CEO of Empyrion Digital, expressed excitement about the company’s expansion into Thailand. According to him, this investment aligns with their commitment to providing world-class data center solutions to their customers.

The new data center is expected to be operational by Q1 2027. Upon completion, it will become Empyrion Digital’s fifth data center globally, joining its existing facilities in Singapore, Seoul, Tokyo, and Taipei.
