Digital Edge has officially unveiled its latest facility, EDGE2, in downtown Jakarta today. Operated by EDGE DC, a subsidiary of PT Indointernet Tbk (“Indonet”) and a Digital Edge company, this cutting-edge establishment marks a significant expansion in the region’s data infrastructure.

Situated strategically at Jl. Kuningan Mulia, South Jakarta, and conveniently located within a 3 km radius of EDGE1, one of Jakarta’s premier interconnected data centers, EDGE2 now stands as the largest data center in the metro area. Boasting a formidable total IT Load of 23 MW and over 3,400 racks, it promises scalability and unmatched connectivity options.

Building on the foundation of EDGE1’s success, EDGE2 provides a virtual campus granting access to over 50 network carriers and key Internet Exchanges such as the Indonesia Internet Exchange (IIX) and Edge Peering Internet Exchange (EPIX). With four diverse main entry points, the facility enhances interconnectivity and redundancy.

Engineered to meet the surging demand from hyperscalers, global tech giants, and various digital enterprises in Indonesia, EDGE2 prioritizes reliability and security in its IT infrastructure.

In line with Digital Edge’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments, EDGE2 integrated eco-friendly features like renewable energy solutions and green building technologies, positioning it for LEED Gold Certification.

Furthermore, leveraging innovative liquid cooling technology, EDGE2 accommodates high power density deployments while achieving an impressive annualized PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) of 1.24, solidifying its status as Jakarta’s most energy-efficient data center.
