CtrlS Datacenters Ltd, a prominent player in the Indian data center market, has unveiled their upcoming data center in Hyderabad, located in the southern Indian state of Telangana. The facility – Hyderabad DC3 – will be the company’s third facility in the city and is expected to be launched in 2-3 months.

Hyderabad is home to data centers by CapitaLand, Pi Datacenters, Web Werks etc. and has also attracted investments from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft.
According to Mordor Intelligence, “The Hyderabad data center market size in terms of installed base is expected to grow from 54.53 megawatt in 2024 to 430.99 megawatt by 2030, at a CAGR of 20.12% during the forecast period (2024-2030).”
CtrlS’ Hyderabad DC3
The Ground + 5 storeyed facility will have a built-up area of almost 1.34 lakh square feet, and 13MW IT load capacity. It will also have AI-ready with advanced cooling technologies, and is planning for LEED Platinum-certification leveraging renewable energy and advanced water recycling amongst other sustainable initiatives. Hyderabad DC3 will have access to cloud connect services from Google, Oracle, Azure and AWS via CtrlS Cloud Connect.
Speaking on the occasion, Sridhar Pinnapureddy, Founder and CEO, CtrlS Datacenters, said, “Following up on our US$ 2 Billion investment plans, we are happy to unveil our upcoming Hyderabad datacenter – DC3. Hyderabad is one of the largest datacenter markets in India and holds strategic significance because of the presence of large number of enterprises, cloud service providers and being one of the most preferred locations for hosting disaster recovery services, as it lies in seismic zone-2.”
The facility will be earthquake resistant, and is structurally designed to comply with seismic zone 2 standards. It is also positioned at an elevation mitigating flood risks.
CtrlS Datacenters currently operates 2 facilities in Hyderabad – located in HITEC City and Gachibowli respectively. The third Hyderabad facility will also be located on GGachibowli. CtrlS has a nationwide footprint of 250 MW of datacenter capacity in tier-1 markets such as Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Noida and Hyderabad. CtrlS Datacenters also operates Edge datacenter facilities in tier-2 markets such as Patna, Kolkata and Lucknow.
