Cooling Tech Boosts Green Data Centers

Sustainability has become a major focus and a topic often discussed in business meetings. Not only are companies concerned, but entire countries are ensuring that everyone in their system follows sustainable practices. A report predicts that by 2025, around 90% of G2000 companies will require IT hardware supply chains to use reusable materials, demand carbon neutrality from facility providers, and use less energy.

However, achieving these goals is not easy. Liquid immersion cooling technology can be a solution to many energy-related problems in data centers. This technology is cost-effective and flexible, helping keep high-performance servers and data center equipment cool. This allows data center operators to run their facilities efficiently without spending a fortune on energy. It also reduces the need for traditional air conditioning in Data Halls and cooling fans for specific devices.

In India, NTT has taken a practical step by using liquid immersion cooling in its Navi Mumbai data center campus. This move is expected to lower power consumption compared to conventional systems and even double the server density within the same space. Liquid immersion cooling could be the answer to making data centers more sustainable and energy-efficient.
