Broadband provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. is set to expand its infrastructure with the construction of two new data centers in Luzon. These state-of-the-art facilities, located in Caloocan, Metro Manila and Angeles, Pampanga, are expected to be operational by next year.

With a combined capacity of 1,500 racks, these data centers aim to cater to the growing demand for bandwidth-heavy applications among both enterprise customers and residential subscribers. Converge is also targeting the highest certification in data center performance, ensuring redundancy, AI-readiness, and sustainability through liquid cooling solutions.

Converge CEO and Co-Founder Dennis Anthony Uy emphasized the importance of this investment, stating, “This future-proofing initiative is in anticipation of the surge in demand for data-intensive applications across various sectors, including gaming, fintech, OTT, public services, and more.”

The company aims for both data centers to achieve Uptime Institute Tier III certification, ensuring the highest level of reliability and availability. A key feature of these facilities is site redundancy, which involves creating complete duplicates of computers and data at a separate location. This provides businesses with a backup plan in case of disruptions at the primary site.

Converge plans to leverage these data centers to offer a wider range of services beyond connectivity. “We’re not just a fiber broadband company; we’re a technology company,” Uy said. “Having this much capacity in our data centers, outfitted with the latest technology, means we can offer more services to Philippine businesses.” said Uy.
