CMC Telecom to open Tan Thuan Data Center in April

CMC Telecom will officially open the Tan Thuan Data Center in April 2022.

This data center is located in the CMC Creative Space complex of CMC Technology Group at Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone, Tan Thuan Dong Ward, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. DC Tan Thuan, with a floor area of 10,000 m2 and a scale of 1,200 racks, is specially built for the most demanding colocation customer segment such as Banks – Finance, OTT, Cloud service providers, and enterprises that require a stable and reliable digital infrastructure.

CMC Telecom have completed the construction of DC Tan Thuan based on the highest safety standards, the company said. It is also the first data center in Vietnam to be granted the TVRA certificate (Threat Vulnerability & Risk Assessment). It is also one of the first 2 data centers in Vietnam to achieve the Uptime Tier3 certificate (Design & Build Level).

Pickup in DC activity

Data center activity in Vietnam has picked up considerable pace. Recently, CapitaLand Development (CLD) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the People’s Committee of Bac Giang province to explore the development of CLD’s first industrial park, logistics park and township development in Vietnam with a total projected investment value of S$1.3 billion (VND22.7 trillion).
