CMI to develop smart digital media solutions, including cloud, data center, and digital media services in Saudi Arabia.
China Mobile International (CMI), a Chinese telecommunication company, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to advance the digital media ecosystem in Saudi Arabia.
The signing ceremony between the Chinese company and Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA), Saudi Cloud Computing Company (SCCC), and Whale Cloud took place in the Saudi capital city of Riyadh. According to SBA, the parties would work together under the MoU to develop smart digital media solutions, including cloud, data center, and digital media services.
In addition to TV-top boxes and SBA-specific applications, the CMI displayed its digital media solutions at the signing ceremony.
According to Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Harthy, SBA CEO, in order to deliver top-notch digital information services, he emphasized SBA’s dedication to developing a world-class media service and content platform using best practices from the global media sector.
The media business will be assisted in realizing its vision for the digital transformation by the CMI’s industry expertise, cutting-edge technologies, and wealth of experience, he continued.
Meanwhile, for Alex Lee, managing director of the CMI Middle East company, the corporation keeps upping its investment in network infrastructure throughout the Middle East.
The joint project, which Lee called “an important partner” and added that they would encourage such collaborations with significant social and economic advantages, will serve as a benchmark for the media industry’s digital transition.
Lee also stated that the CMI is dedicated to creating a worldwide ecosystem of technology partners and that its collaboration with the SCCC and Whale Cloud has shown the breadth and strength of that ecosystem.
The CMI supports businesses as they undergo digital transformation by supplying them with a wide range of services through its comprehensive enterprise service portfolio known as iSolutions.
