CapitaLand launches Hyperscale Data Centre in Hyderabad

CapitaLand has announced the launch of its hyperscale data centre in Hyderabad.

The site is located within the commercial hub of International Tech Park Hyderabad, Madhapur, and an established corridor for IT\ITES companies and data centres.

He further added that the State of art Data Center facility will boast of new-age technologies in the field of Cooling and Security and will provide advanced solutions in today’s digital ecosystem, with a total facility load of 40MW with a dedicated GIS substation within the site.

According to a report titled ‘2020 India Data Center Market Update’ by JLL, Hyderabad is fast emerging as an upcoming data center hub, which is backed by a favourable data centre policy of the Telangana government. The report said that Hyderabad is expected to add 66 Mega Watts (MW) during 2021-23.

CapitaLand India DC team had signed an MoU with the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) at the DubaiExpo to set up data centres in Navi Mumbai.

The company had also announced that it would be investing Rs 11000 crores over the next five to six years with a plan to create a large infrastructure and expand its data centre footprint across 5-6 major metros in India.
