Bitdeer AI, part of Bitdeer Technologies Group, a cryptocurrency mining and artificial intelligence cloud infrastructure company, has signed a 10-year data center services agreement for a 65.1 MW AI cloud data center in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The A202 facility is expected to be energized in Q3 2027.
According to a press release, A202 is located on the same Johor campus as Bitdeer AI’s 21.7 MW A201 facility when both facilities are operational, the campus will have 86.8 MW of AI cloud data center capacity. The new facility is designed for liquid-cooled, rack-scale NVIDIA systems, including GB300 NVL72 and Vera Rubin platforms.
It will support GPU cloud services, data hosting and the existing campus infrastructure will allow it to extend power, liquid cooling and network connections to A202. The company expects the economics per megawatt at A202 to be broadly consistent with those of its A102 facility and its active pipeline for AI cloud capacity is estimated to exceed US$ 7 billion, including uncontracted capacity.
Readers will recall that Bitdeer AI announced that it has sold its 9.5 MW capacity at its A102 AI cloud data center in Malaysia ahead of energization in Q1 2027. Together with an offtake commitment announced earlier in August, the firm now has in its hand five-year long-term offtake commitments with total expected revenue of over US$ 800 million at this Johor site. It represents 9.5 MW of the 350 MW target of its global AI cloud capacity to be delivered by the first quarter of 2028.

Potter, CFO, Bitdeer, said, “The signal from customers is unambiguous: demand for liquid-cooled, rack-scale AI Cloud capacity in 2027 is running well ahead of what the market can supply, A102 sold out ahead of energization, A201 is in advanced negotiations, and our secured AI Cloud data center capacity now stands at approximately 206.5 MW. Securing A202 is a direct response to that demand an incremental 65.1 MW on a campus we already have contracted for.”
Retainna Lin, VP of AI Cloud, Bitdeer, said, “Johor is where we can move fastest, A201 is already secured at the data center level and is scheduled to be ready for service in January 2027, and A202 sits on the same campus the same power, the same cooling, the same network. That is how we added 65.1 MW without originating a new site.”
Bitdeer AI expects to fund GPU deployment at A202 primarily through customer prepayments. The company generally seeks to structure those payments to cover more than 50 percent of associated capital expenditure, with additional funding expected from financing secured against contracted cash flows and operating cash flow.
Bitdeer AI develops data center capacity based on contracted demand and deploys GPUs and related computing equipment against executed contracts. Bitdeer AI expects to contract A202 capacity before energization and the contract economics vary by site, service mix and duration, and that previously announced contract terms may not be indicative of future terms.
