Singapore-headquartered AI neocloud service provider Bitdeer AI has recently secured a combined 127MW of data center capacity in Malaysia, as it approaches 95 per cent of its target of up to 350MW by early 2028 across its global footprint. Its total combined capacity has now reached about 333.5MW across Malaysia, Norway and the United States, the firm said in two separate press releases.

So far this month, it has signed two AI cloud capacity agreements for its data centers in Malaysia. The secured headline capacity includes facilities owned or covered by its signed data center services agreements, and does not mean all that capacity is operating.

This follows Bitdeer’s announcement in September that it had obtained customer commitments  for more than 70 per cent of its 21.7MW A201 facility in Johor, Malaysia, ahead of expected energisation in 1Q 2027. The firm added it had procured more than 100 racks of Nvidia GB300 NVL72 systems for deployment after energisation. Part of its A201’s rack space is designed to accommodate Nvidia’s next-generation Vera Rubin platform.

Bitdeer estimates that revenue from the contracts might exceed US$1.7 billion over five years, lifting the company’s total expected revenue backlog to about US$2.9 billion. The firm expects to finance the development through customer prepayments, operating cash flow and borrowing secured against contracted cash flows.

The larger of the two October additions, A901, is a 67MW campus in an unspecified location in Malaysia, secured under a 10-year services agreement. It’s the firm’s third Malaysian hub alongside Cyberjaya and Johor. Delivery is expected in 1Q 2027 with full 67MW targeted for 2Q 2027.

The other October agreement is an eight-year services agreement for the 60MW A103 facility in Cyberjaya. Energisation is expected in 1Q 2028 for the facilty which is designed for liquid-cooled Nvidia systems, including Vera Rubin. Together with the A101 and A102 facilities, the Cyberjaya campus will represent about 71.5MW of AI Cloud data center capacity.

“We have secured approximately 95% of our up-to-350MW target with the addition of the A103 facility. Adding 60MW alongside the A101 and A102 facilities means we benefit from the power, the cooling and the network infrastructure already in place, improving our time-to-market. A103 is also built for the Vera Rubin generation, which is the capacity customers are asking us about for 2028,”  said Michael G. Potter, Chief Financial Officer of Bitdeer Technologies Group.

“Demand for liquid-cooled, rack-scale AI capacity in Southeast Asia is running ahead of what the market can deliver, and customers are asking for it earlier and in larger blocks,” Potter added.

Bitdeer estimates its active AI cloud sales pipeline exceeds US$10 billion. Bitdeer is the AI cloud arm of Nasdaq-listed Bitdeer Technologies Group and is a preferred NVIDIA Cloud Partner.
