The global cloud services provider Atlantic.Net has announced the launch of its new cloud region in Singapore, targeting the rapidly expanding Asian market. This development is strategically timed to align with the Singapore government’s heightened investments in cloud computing.
The government’s initiatives, such as the Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) service, aim to facilitate the efficient management and security of public sector agencies’ utilization of cloud services from major providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
Marty Puranik, the CEO and founder of Atlantic.Net, expressed enthusiasm about the ongoing global expansion, particularly in a region that has demonstrated a strong commitment to cloud technology through substantial investments.
According to Puranik, the increasing interconnectedness of the world, fueled by rising investments in cloud computing, motivated Atlantic.Net to extend its presence into Singapore, enabling them to better assist partners in this burgeoning market.
Beyond Singapore, Atlantic.Net operates from seven secure data centers worldwide, strategically located in New York, London, San Francisco, Toronto, Dallas, Ashburn, and Orlando. Each of these centers is designed to deliver fault-tolerant and high-performance computing.
