Firmus Technologies, builders of AI infrastructure is preparing for a sharemarket float in 2026 and is reported to have raised AU$280 million for this purpose from a number of institutional and high-net-worth investors.
It is reported that Firmus will use the m0ney to help fund the build-out of a data center in Tasmania, Australia.
The company is reported to have received funding from sovereign wealth fund Temasek and from KKR-backed ST Telemedia Global Data Centres and to be operating an ‘AI factory’ in Singapore with further factories planned for Thailand and India.
Firmus was founded in 2019 by Oliver Curtis, Tim Rosenfield, and Jonathan Levee.
