Actis Powers Up Asia’s Data Growth with New Sustainable Data Center Platform, Epoch Digital

Actis, a global leader in sustainable infrastructure investment, is taking a big leap into the booming Asian data center market with the launch of Epoch Digital. This new integrated platform boasts a 200MW IT capacity portfolio currently under development, strategically spread across three key locations: Taipei Taiwan, Johor Bahru, Malaysia, and Seoul, South Korea.

Epoch Digital isn’t just about throwing up data centers. The company targets “hyperscale” customers – big tech and cloud giants – with a focus on scalability and geographic diversity. This means building data centers in markets with high growth potential and where Actis, along with Epoch Digital’s leadership team, has a proven track record.

The first project on tap is a 23MW facility in the heart of Taipei, Taiwan. This is followed by a massive 120MW data center in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. And the third project will be located in Greater Seoul, South Korea.

This strategic placement highlights Epoch Digital’s focus on bridging the gap between booming data needs and responsible development. Actis isn’t just building data centers; they’re building them with sustainability in mind.

By leveraging their expertise in digital infrastructure, real estate, and renewable energy, Epoch Digital aims to provide energy-efficient and cost-effective solutions for their hyperscale clients. This aligns perfectly with the growing need for data center operators to decarbonize their operations.
