A-FLOW, a joint venture between FLOW Digital Infrastructure and AyalaLand Logistics Holdings Corp., celebrated a significant construction milestone with the recent topping off of its new ML1 Data Center located in Biñan, Laguna.
The groundbreaking for the ML1 data center took place in December 2022, and the project has since received a significant boost with a P2.4 billion investment from LandBank of the Philippines. This investment underscores the project’s importance and the potential for growth in the data center market.
Designed to meet the highest standards of energy efficiency, scalability, and security, the ML1 data center is a three-building carrier-neutral campus. With a focus on site resiliency and reliability, the data center will provide businesses with a secure and reliable infrastructure for their data storage and processing needs.
The completion of the first building’s structural framework marks a major step forward, and the data center is expected to begin operations in the fourth quarter of 2024 with an initial capacity of 6MW.
Amandine Wang, President of A-FLOW and CEO of FLOW, expressed her enthusiasm for the topping off, emphasizing the contributions of vendors, partners, and consultants in achieving this milestone.
Robert S. Lao, Chairman of A-FLOW and President and CEO of ALLHC, added that the project aligns with the company’s commitment to supporting the growing demand for data storage as the Philippines transitions to a digital economy.
Strategically located in Laguna, A-FLOW’s first data center will accommodate a total of 36MW IT load capacity. The partnership between FLOW and ALLHC leverages FLOW’s expertise in data center development and ALLHC’s established track record in industrial real estate.
