Northampton Capital Partners LLC, an alternative asset management firm and Provident Data Centers, a data center developer, have formed a joint venture (JV) to develop a 54 MW data center in the North Dallas Corridor, with the facility expected to be delivered in late 2027.
According to a press release, the project will be built on a 74 MW site in the Dallas-Fort Worth market and will provide access to major interconnects in the region and is intended to address demand for additional data center capacity. The joint venture also includes a framework for Northampton and Provident Data Centers to develop additional sites designed for AI inference workloads in major U.S. markets.

Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP is serving as legal counsel to Northampton. Haynes and Boone LLP is serving as legal counsel to Provident Data Centers, while Citizens Capital Markets is serving as its financial advisor.
