Nscale, a vertically integrated artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure and high-performance GPU cloud provider, has signed a multi-year partnership with humanoid robotics company Figure that could involve the deployment of 100,000 NVIDIA GPUs as Figure expands the computing infrastructure behind its AI models and robots.
According to a press release, the agreement includes an initial commitment of US$ 3.5 billion in computing, with the companies intending to scale the deal to more than US$ 6 billion. The planned infrastructure could use NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin platform which is the company’s AI computing architecture. The initial deployment is scheduled for the second half of 2027 in Barstow, Texas.

This is the physical AI flywheel that will accelerate the path from models to robots in the world.”
The companies will work on integrating computing, AI infrastructure and software across the model development process, from training through deployment to explore whether humanoid robots could eventually be used within Nscale’s supply chain.
Nscale will also take a stake in Figure and become the robotics company’s preferred compute provider. The computing infrastructure is expected to support Figure’s Helix AI models, which are used to power its humanoid robots.
