Lunar Digital, a UK-based data center operator, and Asanti Data Centres, a private limited company that operates as a specialized colocation and edge data center provider, have formed a joint venture aimed at expanding AI-ready digital infrastructure across the UK.

In a LinkedIn post , Lunar Digital stated the partnership combines Lunar Digital’s management team, infrastructure expertise, and customer-focused operating model with Asanti’s portfolio of six regional data centers. Lunar also contributes its connectivity-dense facilities in Manchester, a major interconnection hub supporting high-performance computing and AI workloads.

Under the agreement, Lunar Digital’s leadership team will take operational control of the Asanti platform. The company will apply its experience in building and operating AI-optimised data centers, focusing on infrastructure designed for modern compute demands.

Asanti’s facilities expand Lunar’s geographic footprint into several UK regions where it previously had no presence. The additional sites provide immediate scale and enable the rollout of inference-focused edge data centers designed to place AI compute closer to users and reduce latency for emerging applications.

The combined platform is intended to support increasing demand for high-performance, AI-driven digital infrastructure while maintaining a focus on operational reliability and customer service.
