In honour of our late colleague and friend Nick Parfitt, we are dedicating the very special Individual Contribution and Achievement award to him.

Nick was immensely proud to have played a key role in launching our Oceania Cloud & Datacenter Awards. His vision, passion, and commitment laid the foundation for what this event has become.

As we carry his legacy forward, we hope to do justice to the work he started and continue to make him proud.

The winners of the at the St Michael's Golf Club, Little Bay, Sydney, New South Wales.

The Awards will focus on achievement, thought leadership and innovation in this region over the past 12 months. Winners will be announced for each of the 6 Award categories.

Award Categories

The Nick Parfitt Individual Contribution and Achievement

award sponsored by

In honour of the late Nick Parfitt who poured his heart and soul into everything and everyone, including the W.Media Oceania Awards, we are dedicating this very fitting award to him. Who in the industry stands out to you as a leader, whether from a commercial, a technological, a managerial perspective? Who has provided leadership to the industry through unpredictable times in terms of its wider public presence?

To be eligible: Your nominee needs to be based in Oceania and to be working or have worked in the data centre, cloud or associated sectors.

Innovation of the Year in Design & Build

award sponsored by

Innovation in Design & Build will recognise the best in datacenter planning, design and build on new build and major expansion projects.

To be eligible: Your project needs to be located in Oceania and all or most of the project needs to have been undertaken since 1st June 2024.

Datacenter Transformation of the Year

This award category will reward innovation in the adoption of processes and technologies that enable and transform the datacenter. Entries might describe the deployment of virtualisation, digital technologies, automation, going hybrid and demonstrate of how these and other transformation initiatives has met the objectives set.

To be eligible: Most or all of this project needs to have been conducted in the time period since 1st June 2024 AND your transformation needs to have been undertaken in Oceania.

Energy & Resource Efficiency Initiative

This award will recognise excellence and innovation in initiatives designed to conserve and optimise resources. The resources in focus include not just energy but also other natural resources which the sector requires to operate – water, land, materials used in construction and fit out.

To be eligible: Entries need to describe initiatives where all or most of the work has been conducted since June 1 2024 in datacenters located in Oceania.

Social & Community Initiative of the Year

This category will recognise outstanding social & community initiatives that have focused on building positive relationships with local communities and/or wider social networks. Recognition will be based on the delivery of initiative objectives through focus and innovation, in ANZ.

To be eligible: The initiatives you describe need to have been deployed in Oceania with all or most of the work undertaken since 1 June 2024.

Operations & Management Initiative of the Year

This category is awarded for innovation and best practice in facility operation and management whether in relation to a single data centre, across a number of data centres or across hybrid configurations.

To be eligible: The initiatives you describe need to have been deployed in Oceania with all or most of the work undertaken since 1 June 2024.
